These Terms & Conditions outline how consultations, surgical procedures, and related services are provided by Dr Georgina Konrat and her medical practice. By booking a consultation, submitting an enquiry, using this website, or proceeding with surgery, you acknowledge and agree to these terms, including our payment policies, consultation requirements, and eligibility conditions.

These Terms and Conditions outline how consultations, procedures, and related services are provided by Dr Georgina Konrat and her medical practice. By booking a consultation, submitting an enquiry, or proceeding with surgery, you agree to these terms, including consultation requirements, payment policies, and patient responsibilities.

1. Definitions

·       “We”, “us”, “our” – Dr Georgina Konrat and her medical practice.

·       “You”, “your” – the patient or prospective patient.

·       “Consultation” – a medical consultation with Dr Konrat.

·       “Procedure” or “Surgery” – any surgical procedure performed by Dr Konrat.

·       “AHPRA” – the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

·       “GP” – your general practitioner (family doctor).

2. Consultations

Booking and Acknowledgement
By booking or attending a consultation, you confirm that you understand and accept the pricing and practice policies described here. If you do not agree, please do not proceed. The practice may update its fees and policies at any time.

Referral Requirement
A current GP referral (dated within the past 12 months) is required before consultation. This ensures your medical history and general health are appropriately reviewed. If your referral expires after 12 months, a new referral is required for future consultations.

Medicare and Private Health Insurance
Dr Konrat is a registered Cosmetic Doctor (General Registration, MED0001407863) and not a Medicare-recognised specialist. GP referrals do not provide access to Medicare or private health rebates for consultations or procedures.

Consultation Fees

·       $165, payable at the time of booking.

·       Includes your initial consultation, pre-surgical follow-up (if required), and written information.

·       The consultation fee is non-transferable and non-refundable.

·       Applies to non-attendance, late cancellations (under 48 hours), or if you are not a suitable surgical candidate.

·       Covers the medical advice and assessment provided, regardless of whether surgery proceeds.

AHPRA Requirements

·       Two consultations are required before any cosmetic surgery.

·       One must be in-person with Dr Konrat; the second may be via video if suitable.

·       A mandatory seven-day cooling-off period applies after the second consultation and signing consent forms.

·       After these requirements have been met, you may book a surgery date

Psychological Screening
All cosmetic surgery patients undergo screening for psychological suitability, including possible assessment for body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). Referral to an independent mental health practitioner may be required before proceeding with surgery.

3. Surgical Procedures

Eligibility
To proceed with surgery, you must:

·       Be aged 18 years or older.

·       Be in good general health and provide accurate medical information.

·       Have realistic expectations about surgical outcomes.

·       Attend both consultations and complete the cooling-off period.

Medical Assessment
Dr Konrat reserves the right to:

·       Decline or postpone surgery if not medically appropriate.

·       Request additional medical clearances.

·       Cancel surgery if safety, eligibility, or disclosure requirements are not met.

4. Fees and Payment

Quotes
A written quote will be provided after consultation and includes:

·       Surgeon’s fee, anaesthetist’s fee, hospital/facility fee.

·       Garments or post-operative supplies (if required).
Quotes are valid for 6 months. Consultation fees, prescriptions, and management of complications are not included.

Payment Policy

·       The balance is due seven days before surgery.

·       Accepted payment methods: Cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Bank Transfer.

·       Surcharges: 1.25% (Visa/Mastercard) and 1.5% (Amex).

·       Surgery cannot proceed without full cleared payment.

Finance Options
Third-party finance providers are independent of Dr Konrat’s practice. Patients are encouraged to research finance options carefully and ensure they are in a stable financial position before undertaking elective surgery.

Failure to comply with the payment policy may result in recovery of outstanding amounts, including reasonable costs or interest as permitted by law.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

By Patient

·       4 weeks or more before surgery → Full refund minus deposit.

·       2–4 weeks → 50% refund of surgical fees (deposit and 50% forfeited).

·       Less than 2 weeks → No refund (all fees forfeited).

By Practice
If surgery must be cancelled by the practice (e.g. illness, emergency, or facility issue):

·       You will receive a full refund (including deposit) or may reschedule.

·       The practice will provide as much notice as possible.

6. Patient Responsibilities

Medical Disclosure
You must provide complete and truthful medical information, including history, medications, allergies, previous procedures, and pregnancy status. Failure to disclose may increase surgical risk or result in cancellation.

Pre-operative Care
Follow all written and verbal instructions, including fasting, medication adjustments, and smoking cessation. Failure to comply may result in same-day cancellation with loss of fees.

Post-operative Care
Follow all aftercare instructions, take prescribed medication, attend scheduled reviews, and contact the practice for any concerns.

Follow-up Appointments
Attendance at all post-operative appointments is mandatory and included in your surgical fees.

7. Risks, Consent, and Expectations

All surgical procedures carry risks such as infection, bleeding, scarring, altered sensation, asymmetry, and potential need for revision. No result can be guaranteed.

Comprehensive risk information is provided during consultation and consent signing.
You are encouraged to seek a second opinion before proceeding.

Healing and results vary individually. Perfect symmetry or duplication of another patient’s outcome cannot be guaranteed. Before-and-after photos are for education only.

8. Revision Surgery

If you experience a complication or are unhappy with your outcome:

·       Discuss your concerns with Dr Konrat.

·       Revision may be possible but is individually assessed.

·       Revision surgery is more complex and may attract additional fees.

If you require a minor scar revision following your surgery, a procedure room fee will be incurred, depending on the time duration required. This fee covers the cost of staffing, consumables, instruments, sterilisation, and medications required to perform the procedure.

9. Photography and Medical Images

Clinical photographs form part of your confidential record and are used for planning and documentation. Separate written consent is required for use in education or publication. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

10. Privacy and Confidentiality

Personal and health information is managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy]. Information will not be disclosed without consent except as required by law or for your care.

11. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the NSW courts.
