A practice focused on one procedure

Sydney has no shortage of general cosmetic medical practitioners, but few practices focus specifically on labiaplasty. Dr Georgina Konrat (MBBS, FACCSM) has practised since 1997 and developed the DOVE Surgery Technique (Double Offset V-Plasty with Extended De-epithelialisation), which she published in the Journal of Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine in 2012. Her Bondi Junction practice operates as a dedicated labiaplasty clinic rather than a general cosmetic centre, and she performs every consultation and procedure herself.

The DOVE Surgery Technique

Conventional trim and wedge methods cut through the full thickness of labial tissue. The DOVE approach instead uses superficial dissection within the outer tissue layers, which preserves the blood supply and nerve pathways underneath and places the closure within the body of the labia rather than at the visible edge. The aim is to keep the natural colour gradient intact. Each procedure is planned individually, and labiaplasty is not suitable for everyone. You can read more on the DOVE Labiaplasty page and the clinical evidence behind it.

An all-female team, in the eastern suburbs

The practice is supported by an all-female clinical team who assist during consultations, the procedure, and recovery. It sits in Bondi Junction, a short walk from Bondi Junction station and the Westfield car park, which many patients value for the natural separation it creates between the procedure and their day-to-day life. Patients travel from across Sydney and interstate; if you are coming from further out, the Western Sydney and North Sydney pages cover the practical side of the trip.

Local anaesthetic, as day surgery

Labiaplasty is performed as a day procedure, typically taking 60 to 90 minutes under local anaesthetic with oral sedation, or general anaesthetic where clinically indicated. Patients arrive in the morning and are discharged the same day with a support person to drive them home. Most return to a desk-based job within seven to ten days. The recovery page walks through the timeline week by week, and the anaesthesia options page compares the approaches.

Is Dr Konrat a surgeon?

Dr Konrat is a cosmetic doctor, not a registered specialist plastic surgeon under AHPRA's specialist register. She holds MBBS and FACCSM qualifications, is registered with AHPRA (MED0001407863), and performs labiaplasty within her scope of practice using a technique she developed and published. It is worth understanding the distinction when choosing a doctor; the how to choose a labiaplasty doctor guide explains what to look for.

What it costs and how to start

The initial consultation fee is $250, credited toward the surgical fee if you proceed. Two consultations are required before any procedure can be scheduled, with at least one in person, and a GP referral is needed before the first appointment. A mandatory 7-day cooling-off period applies after the second consultation. The full surgical fee is quoted in writing at your second consultation and covers the practitioner, anaesthetist, accredited facility, and follow-up care as a complete package. The labiaplasty cost page explains how fees work and what is included.
